Work Environment

Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and resources designed to optimize patient care. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This structure allows for consistent patient interaction in a clinical setting where teamwork and collaboration are highly valued. You will be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with physiatrists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation aides.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation and patient goals.
• Deliver one-on-one patient care by utilizing various physical therapy techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities.
• Maintain an optimal patient load to ensure quality interaction and effective treatment delivery, focusing on the unique needs of each individual.
• Implement evidence-based practices and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve milestones.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment protocols accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for streamlined patient care tracking.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment options, home exercise programs, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Foster a motivational atmosphere by encouraging patients during their recovery journeys and celebrating their progress.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met and referrals are appropriately managed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves clients who are in need of outpatient rehabilitation for a variety of orthopedic conditions, post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our patient demographic includes adolescents, adults, and seniors, providing a diverse range of case challenges that require tailored approaches to treatment.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with a clean record, free from any sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proficiency in multiple manual therapy techniques and a strong background in orthopedic outpatient care.
• Competency in using EMR software, particularly WebPT, to document and track treatment outcomes efficiently.
• A thorough understanding of current research and advancements in physical therapy techniques, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, specifically with sports medicine or orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
