Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans that meet the unique needs of each client.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients across various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, family involvement, and help couples navigate their challenges while ensuring confidentiality and support.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records to comply with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training programs to stay current with the latest research and practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base primarily consists of individuals and families facing significant mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and relationship difficulties. As a counselor at NovaCare, you will engage with clients who often have limited access to mental health resources, requiring you to offer not just therapy but support and guidance during their journeys toward emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.

• Active, unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.

• Minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience in a clinical setting.

• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards associated with mental health care.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and rapport-building skills to connect with a diverse clientele.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and related technologies for documentation and scheduling.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

• Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
