Position Overview

OnTrack Physical Therapy & Wellness is actively looking for a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Cypress, Florida. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to the state practice acts regulating physical therapy practice, ensuring compliance while supervising the therapy team's activities.

• Conduct thorough assessments by examining patient history, performing specific assessments, and developing personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing identified functional limitations.

• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and adjust them as necessary based on the patient's response and evolving health conditions.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consulting with other healthcare professionals when required and documenting any significant changes in patients' conditions.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.

• Conduct discharge planning and provide necessary follow-up care, ensuring that patients have clear pathways for continued recovery.

• Participate in ongoing training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations as well as corporate and clinical service requirements.

• Engage in facility meetings and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving patient access and service efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patients with orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Each patient's treatment requires individualized assessment and management strategies tailored to their specific needs. Your expertise will be essential in facilitating their recovery journeys, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.

• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy settings.

• Current CPR certification to ensure safety in all patient-related activities.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills and have experience utilizing evidence-based practices in treatment. Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation technologies and methodologies will be advantageous. Previous experience in a team-based approach to patient care is also highly desirable.
