Position Overview

Citizens Postural Correction Physiocare, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Cypress, Florida. Work Environment

Your role will be primarily field-based, providing therapy within various home settings, enabling you to observe and engage clients in familiar environments. Working Monday to Friday, you will collaborate closely with clients, their families, and an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Our home care environment allows for flexible scheduling and personalized interactions that enhance recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the physical therapy treatment process, focusing on preventing physical disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function according to individualized care plans.
• Evaluate clients using diagnostic tests to assess functionality, mobility, and pain, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing care plans, reinforcing best practices and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, including both manual and non-manual techniques, to promote client engagement and recovery.
• Utilize various physical agents such as traction and massage therapies to support overall rehabilitation goals.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of the home environment, providing recommendations to improve accessibility and augment client independence.
• Monitor client progress, documenting changes in condition, response to therapy, and adjusting treatment plans in coordination with physicians and case managers.
• Prepare clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in case conferences as a member of the interdisciplinary care team, contributing valuable insights and collaborating on treatment strategies.
• Educate clients and their families about physical therapy methods, proper use of devices, and ongoing care strategies to enhance recovery and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population, including seniors, individuals recovering from surgery, and those with chronic orthopedic conditions. Your role is crucial in facilitating mobility and enhancing quality of life through individual care approaches tailored to each client's specific needs and circumstances.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid physical therapy licenses in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in home care or orthopedic rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

While one year of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in home healthcare or specialized orthopedic care will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with telehealth technologies and electronic health records (EHR) can also be advantageous.
