Work Environment

You will be joining a supportive and dynamic team committed to delivering evidence-based physical therapy. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of patients, examining their medical history and current physical capabilities to create personalized treatment plans.
• Implement and adapt treatment protocols based on evaluation results, addressing the unique needs of each patient.
• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as necessary, ensuring timely adjustments to improve recovery outcomes.
• Engage with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and share insights from your evaluations.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge plans, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Participate in clinical meetings to discuss patient care strategies, share innovative practices, and contribute to the facility's quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring patients know their next steps in the rehabilitation process.
• Adhere to all state practice acts and regulations governing physical therapy practice.
• Remain up to date with emerging trends and policies in the physical therapy field, actively pursuing ongoing professional education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients experiencing orthopedic issues requiring physical therapy. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or conditions related to chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders. You will apply both clinical expertise and emotional intelligence to connect with patients, guiding them through their recovery journeys while educating them about their conditions and rehabilitation processes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A professional license to practice physical therapy in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• At least two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating a strong ability to assess and treat a diverse patient population.
• A current CPR certification is essential for ensuring patient safety.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specialized therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technologies is a plus.
