Work Environment\n

As a fully remote position, the Mental Health Counselor will enjoy the flexibility of working from home while still being an integral part of our Detox Center team. The work environment promotes collaboration through virtual communication tools and regular team meetings, ensuring continuous support and engagement within the multidisciplinary team. Flexibility in scheduling is expected to meet patient needs, while maintaining a structured work hour framework of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Utilize diverse modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups addressing common mental health concerns, fostering community and collaboration among participants.

• Engage in collaborative treatment planning alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services to support patients during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective responses.

• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and valuable community resources to encourage informed decision-making.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and effective therapeutic approaches.

• Proven ability to conduct detailed mental health assessments and create impactful treatment plans.

• A demonstrated track record of providing individual and group therapy to diverse populations.
