Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations by performing initial consultations and documenting client cases, including symptoms, history, and treatment responses.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for various populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, while incorporating feedback from the clients.
\n
• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in groups, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote healing and growth.

• Monitor and assess clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to address ongoing needs and challenges.
\n
• Establish collaborative relationships with other mental health professionals, physicians, and social workers to coordinate care and optimize client outcomes.

• Manage referrals and communicate effectively with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization or additional support.
\n
• Provide ongoing education and support for family members and primary caregivers managing mental health challenges.
\n
• Identify and intervene to prevent behaviors that may hinder clients' recovery process, ensuring a proactive approach to mental wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Function First Therapy Center, you will work with a diverse array of clients experiencing various mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges. Our client population includes individuals seeking support for anxiety, depression, addiction disorders, and relationship issues. You will engage with clients across different age groups, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet their unique needs and backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

• A current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Minimum of two years of professional experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical or telehealth setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, ideally with proficiency in AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring physical and mental health conditions.
\n
• Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and the effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by medical professionals.

• Strong understanding of addiction disorders and relevant treatment protocols.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for building rapport with clients.
\n
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a compassionate and supportive approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, supplemented with a sign-on bonus.
