Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral health, documenting findings thoroughly for ongoing care.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, which may include individual and group therapy sessions addressing specific mental health challenges.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions aimed at fostering positive peer interactions and shared learning experiences among participants.

• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting care plans based on their evolving needs and feedback.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff to develop integrated intervention strategies.

• Maintain open communication with clients' families to provide support and guidance in managing mental and behavioral challenges.

• Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in mental health counseling to deliver the highest quality care to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a licensed mental health counselor at Accent Care, you will work with a wide array of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients and colleagues.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, showing empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental approach.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a mental health counselor, especially in a remote or telehealth capacity.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably with experience using AVATAR.

• Experience in addressing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to addiction disorders and co-occurring conditions.

• An understanding of current mental health trends, therapies, and legislation, contributing to knowledgeable and holistic client care.

Accent Care Counseling Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, with the potential for a sign-on bonus.
