The Junior Sous Chef plays an important role in supporting the culinary leadership team by overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and fostering a collaborative, positive work environment. What You\'ll Do Support the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in the daily operation of the kitchen. Supervise and lead culinary colleagues during assigned shifts. Prepare and present high-quality food that meets Hyatt\'s standards for taste, presentation, and consistency. Assist with menu execution, recipe adherence, and food preparation techniques. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage procedures. Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and minimizing food waste. Help train, coach, and develop culinary colleagues while promoting Hyatt\'s culture of care and inclusion. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with other hotel departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Why Hyatt? Qualifications Previous culinary experience in a hotel, resort, upscale restaurant, or similar environment preferred. Prior supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. Culinary degree or formal culinary training is a plus. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
