ServiceNow Platform Professional

We are seeking a skilled professional to support the design, development, and implementation of solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The role involves maintaining and enhancing modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM, and HRSD. This position is remote, but candidates must be local to the Washington, DC area and willing to work east coast core work hours.

Responsibilities

Exhibit strong customer service and teamwork, collaborating effectively with teammates, clients, and vendors under the guidance of senior staff.

Communicate ideas clearly and gather feedback from team members; contribute creativity and collaboration in team discussions.

Identify risks and challenges and bring them to the attention of senior team members.

Participate in development reviews and seek guidance from mid-level and senior staff.

Assist in gathering and documenting business and system requirements.

Support the development of use cases and testing procedures, helping verify product functionality prior to production deployment.

Participate in project team meetings with technical staff and other stakeholders.

Assist with implementation plans, SOPs, and system architecture documentation under supervision.

Support the architecture, design, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions as directed.

Help prepare status reports and presentations by collecting and organizing information.

Maintain and help organize project documentation.

Gain exposure to AI technologies such as Now Assist, third-party LLM APIs, or automated test frameworks.

Assist in configuring environments for applications and support release management and production support activities.

Help design, create, and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs with guidance from senior developers.

Support the development of automation workflows, perform unit tests, and follow established coding standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

1–2 years of experience with the ServiceNow platform, or demonstrable foundational knowledge of its architecture and capabilities.

Exposure to design, development, or support tasks on a platform or software project.

Basic familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM concepts.

Shows initiative, asks good questions, and is a proactive self-starter who seeks feedback.

Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Willingness to work within an Agile framework: participate in daily scrums and ceremonies, and update stories in ServiceNow to document progress.

Interest in or exposure to ServiceNow custom-scoped application development is a plus.

Exposure to integrating ServiceNow with external systems.

Ability to support one project with focus and reliability.

ServiceNow Certifications.

Knowledge of AI integration within ServiceNow, including Now Assist and AI Agents.

Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Suite (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM), workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and portal development.

Expertise in ITAM (SAM/HAM) and ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping) modules.
