At Empower-Self Physical Therapy, we pride ourselves on being a therapist-owned practice located in the heart of Morristown, New Jersey. Our state-of-the-art facility encompasses 5,000 square feet and is tailored for sports medicine, creating an environment that fosters advanced therapeutic techniques and comprehensive patient care. Our team currently consists of two other skilled physical therapists and a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), all of whom share a commitment to exceptional patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite, offering essential home care services that are accessible to our patients. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance. Collaborating closely with a tight-knit team allows for a supportive environment where knowledge sharing and continuous professional development are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to identify their individual goals and needs, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, providing one-on-one care with an average of 1 patient per hour.
• Deliver cost-effective, evidence-based treatments aimed at improving range of motion and mobility.
• Reduce patients' dependency on medications by exploring holistic alternatives to surgical procedures.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that encompass various treatment modalities.
• Design customized fitness and wellness programs, promoting safe and effective exercises suited to individual capabilities.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, maintaining open communication with patients regarding their progress.
• Document all patient care activities meticulously using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery process to enhance their functional abilities and lifestyle choices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery following surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain management. Our practice emphasizes working with individuals who have private medical insurance, ensuring they receive high-quality care without barriers. The population is diverse, allowing you to apply a range of skills and techniques tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid New Jersey state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions taken against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and physical assessment skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective exercise protocols based on clinical best practices.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred to streamline patient documentation processes.

Preferred Experience

While experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is required, additional specialization in sports medicine, geriatrics, or neurological rehabilitation will be highly regarded. A history of working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team will further enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
