Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to gauge the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, ensuring accurate diagnoses and tailored treatment.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, goals, and preferences, promoting a client-centered approach to care.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to suit each client’s context and situation.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment strategies, and self-care techniques, strengthening their support systems.

• Monitor client progress meticulously by tracking symptom changes and treatment effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other physicians to ensure comprehensive, integrated mental health care, sharing insights and developing collaborative strategies for treatment.

• Stay current on emerging research and developments in mood disorder treatments to continuously enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings to foster professional growth and contribute to the collective knowledge of the practice.

• Advocate for the de-stigmatization of mood disorders, representing client needs and mental health awareness within the community and beyond.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily support clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and various anxiety-related conditions. This role requires a knack for establishing rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that each client feels seen, heard, and valued throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Strong working knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to effectively collaborate with psychiatric practitioners.

Compensation and Benefits\n
