Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop customized treatment plans aimed at restoring function and mobility.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques and equipment during sessions to enhance recovery for a wide range of orthopedic conditions.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.
• Document patient progress meticulously through electronic health records, adjusting treatment protocols as needed based on their response to therapy.
• Lead therapeutic exercises and activities, both in aquatic settings and on dry land, to promote strength, mobility, and overall health.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, pain management strategies, and exercises to be performed at home to aid in recovery.
• Engage in proactive communication with insurers as necessary to facilitate patient treatment options and coverage.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will cater to a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals with orthopedic challenges stemming from:

• Pre- and post-surgical recovery, including joint replacements and arthroscopic surgeries.
• Sports-related injuries, assisting athletes in their return to competitive performance.
• Chronic pain conditions, developing tailored approaches to mitigate discomfort and enhance function.
• Lower-level neurological issues, providing specialized interventions to improve mobility and independence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in an outpatient setting, handling orthopedic conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience
