We're a family owned boutique steakhouse in the heart of Ukrainian Village - a Top 10 Steakhouse in the city known for its steakhouses, Chicago. We've celebrated our 11th anniversary and are looking for a strong, dedicated, professional Chef to lead our passionate team to the next era. Someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys work, thrives on camaraderie and has the knowledge, experience and personality to lead our team in a positive direction. This position reports to the Owner and Director of Operations, and collaborates closely with the General Manager and Beverage Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Daily assigned shift - preparing the restaurant and team for service, ensuring all kitchen team members’ performance, are adhering to standards, process and hygiene/sanitation.
- Collaborates with General Manager and Beverage Director to manage costs of goods, labor, inventory and food controls. Participates in weekly leadership meeting.
- Leadership by example, must possess a positive attitude, communication, integrity, and the skills to manage, train and lead kitchen team members.
- Creativity welcome - new menu development and promotions are a key part of this role.
