Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document all case activities from initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring comprehensive records.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health through evidence-based assessment tools.
\n
• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on their unique needs.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to promote wellness.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with other mental health specialists, primary care providers, and social workers to create integrated care plans.

• Maintain follow-up communications with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require hospitalization.
\n
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder the recovery process, providing support to clients and their families.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues—from anxiety and depression to complex trauma. Your empathetic approach will help create a trusting therapeutic alliance that supports clients in their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and professional colleagues.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of psychological principles, therapeutic interventions, and recovery strategies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a demonstrated ability to develop successful treatment plans.

• Experience in managing clients with co-occurring disorders, including physical health conditions and addiction.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience in a telehealth setting is a plus, as we utilize remote counseling techniques to reach our clients effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
