Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health evaluations through interviews and standardized assessment tools to thoroughly document each client's mental, behavioral, and emotional state.

• Develop individualized treatment interventions and recovery plans tailored to each client's unique challenges, considering both immediate needs and long-term goals.
\n
• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions that address various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship dynamics.
\n
• Track clients' progress throughout the therapeutic journey, modifying treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and meet evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to ensure coordinated care and shared understanding of each client’s treatment direction.

• Provide necessary follow-up care for clients transitioning from inpatient treatment back into outpatient services, maintaining open communication with attending physicians.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones' mental health challenges, providing them with resources and coping strategies.
\n
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic health records using platforms like AVATAR to ensure compliance with best practices in mental health care documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily be working with adults and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and substance use issues. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and the diversity of our patient population enriches the therapeutic experience, requiring counselors to tailor their approaches effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms, ensuring efficient documentation and access to patient data.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and an understanding of integrating primary care approaches into mental health treatment.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to all client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in a telehealth environment, demonstrating adaptability to virtual counseling techniques.

• Exposure to a variety of mental health conditions and an understanding of the psychosocial factors affecting clients’ behaviors and progress.

• Experience in crisis intervention and understanding of community resources available for patient referrals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
