This position allows for remote work while functioning within an outpatient office model in Kearny, NJ. Although primarily remote, occasional evening shifts may be required, and some flexibility in scheduling will be necessary to meet the needs of our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological well-being, ensuring a holistic understanding of their needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's specific diagnoses and goals.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy during both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at fostering peer support, emotional expression, and skill-building to promote personal development.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to formulate an integrative treatment approach that respects each patient's journey.

• Provide support during crises, implementing immediate interventions to safeguard patients' mental health in emergency situations.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment plans, and resources available within the community.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards and constitute a part of routine peer reviews and case conferences.

• Engage actively in professional development and enrich team meetings, contributing to a culture of ongoing learning.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, including applicable treatment modalities and trauma-informed care practices.

• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments, develop accurate diagnoses, and formulate effective treatment plans.

• Experience in conducting both individual and group therapy, skilled in utilizing a diverse range of therapeutic approaches.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships and manage difficult conversations effectively.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant digital applications to maintain accurate patient records.

• Capacity to navigate team dynamics, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals while responsible for maintaining professional boundaries.
