Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and initial interviews, ensuring comprehensive documentation from the first consultation to discharge.

• Evaluate and assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral status, tailoring treatment based on their unique needs.

• Develop and implement effective treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based methodologies for individuals, couples, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques to support client growth and healing.

• Monitor clients’ progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and medical doctors, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Engage in follow-up communication with psychiatrists and medical teams for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring seamless transitions in care.

• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that hinder recovery, developing strategies for clients and their families to manage challenges effectively.

• Provide educational support to family members or primary caregivers on mental health management and coping strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. Your role will require sensitivity and a deep understanding of these issues, ensuring that every client feels supported and heard. Your efforts will directly impact their recovery journey and overall mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Nevada.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated previous experience in a mental health counseling role.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to document and manage client information effectively.

• Solid understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health, including co-occurring addiction disorders and their treatment.

• Familiarity with the best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, delivering information clearly to clients, families, and colleagues.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor to foster a trusting therapeutic alliance.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience with diverse populations, including various age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus.
