Key Responsibilities Conduct ethical and compassionate mental health counseling sessions via video chat, ensuring a secure and supportive virtual environment for clients. Facilitate the development of essential coping strategies, enhance problem-solving abilities, and improve communication skills among clients, ultimately empowering them to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. Utilize telehealth technologies and a user-friendly counseling platform to deliver care efficiently, while keeping administrative tasks to a minimum. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Mental Health Therapist at Mind Oak, you will primarily engage with a diverse population of low-acuity adults who are seeking support for various mental health challenges. By offering a compassionate and supportive virtual space, you will help clients navigate through their struggles, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and foster resilience in their daily lives. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. A current and independent state license in one of the following: LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD. Demonstrated ability to practice independently without supervision and a history free of disciplinary actions. Strong interpersonal skills coupled with proficiency in computer systems, ensuring seamless interaction with clients through telehealth platforms. A stable internet connection to facilitate uninterrupted counseling sessions. Preferred Experience Previous experience working within a telehealth setting is a plus, as it equips you with unique insights into virtual client engagement. Experience with treatment methodologies suitable for low-acuity populations, focusing on practical coping strategies and skill development.
