Work Environment\n

The role is entirely remote, leveraging telehealth technology to provide therapy sessions to clients across California. You will have access to a range of digital tools and platforms that enable seamless communication with clients and coordination with other healthcare professionals. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance while still meeting the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

• Provide specialized support for clients dealing with PTSD and other trauma-related issues in a structured therapy format.
\n
• Maintain organized and accurate client records that align with industry standards, specifically ICD-9 coding.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Engage with clients' family members as needed to help strengthen relationships and enhance the therapeutic process.

• Utilize feedback and progress tracking to continuously refine therapeutic approaches and improve client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, you will work primarily with adults facing a variety of mental health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, and behavioral issues. This role requires a strong understanding of the complexities of mental health and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for clients from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.

• Must hold an active California mental health license (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT).

• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy and managing cases in a mental health setting.

• Familiarity with therapeutic techniques including CBT, ABA, and other relevant methodologies.

• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of a diverse clientele.
