Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, assessing their physical condition, functional ability, and disabilities to create tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize and implement evidence-based treatment modalities, techniques, and protocols to address orthopedic conditions, ensuring the best possible health outcomes for each patient.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans based on changes in their condition.

• Document patient care activities accurately and promptly, including evaluations, treatment progress, discharge planning, and follow-up care in compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Maintain open and respectful communication with patients, families, and coworkers, fostering a positive and supportive clinical atmosphere.

• Attend team meetings and continue professional development through training and educational opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals with a range of orthopedic issues, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with a diverse patient demographic, from young athletes to elderly clients, tailoring your approach to each unique situation and fostering a comprehensive understanding of their rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.

• State licensure as required to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.

• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation.

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems for patient documentation and progress tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
