Work Environment

This role is conducted onsite within our surgical center, allowing for direct interactions with patients and collaborative engagement with our interdisciplinary team. The full-time schedule spans Monday through Friday, ensuring work-life balance as you contribute to the essential healthcare services of our community. You will primarily work indoors, with certain exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards that are typical in a medical facility, and you may encounter tasks that involve the safety requirements of OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Social Health and Mental Services, you will:

• Conduct detailed patient assessments and medical histories to aid in precise diagnosis and tailor treatment plans effectively.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated care plans that respond to the comprehensive healthcare needs of our patients.
• Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests, interpreting results to inform clinical decisions.
• Administer vaccinations and treatments while providing essential education on preventative health measures and lifestyle modifications to patients and their families.
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, coordinating referrals to specialty care as needed to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system effectively to maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient encounters, supporting seamless communication across the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Compensation and Benefits
