Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote work setting, allowing you to provide care from a comfortable environment while meeting patients' needs online. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional evening shifts may be necessary. Our collaborative team meetings and case consultations will also take place virtually, ensuring flexibility while maintaining a supportive work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments aimed at understanding the unique needs and challenges faced by older adults, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interview techniques.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans tailored to address cognitive changes, physical health issues, and social factors affecting each patient's mental health.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy sessions, using methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapies.

• Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care, ensuring all aspects of the patient’s health are considered.

• Serve as a point of contact for crisis intervention, delivering immediate support for elderly patients experiencing mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and community resources available to enhance their support systems.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal requirements, using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position is dedicated primarily to working with the geriatric population, addressing a range of mental health issues prevalent in older adults. You will be entrusted with the well-being of elderly patients experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and dementia. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia is essential.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, specifically with older adults, is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is between USD 75,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
