Blackwood Physical Therapy and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will work directly with patients to facilitate their journey towards improved mobility and functionality. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering exceptional care focused on the specific needs of each patient.

Located in Anaheim, California, Blackwood Physical Therapy and Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center specializing in orthopedic outpatient care. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and integrates advanced technology and innovative treatment methodologies within an environment designed for healing. We are a collaborative team comprising two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all committed to providing high-quality patient care primarily to individuals with private medical insurance.

Work Environment

This role is 100% onsite, allowing for direct interaction and rapport building with our patients. Our clinic is equipped with cutting-edge rehabilitation equipment and resources that foster a dynamic and supportive environment for both staff and patients. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing work-life balance while ensuring that our clients receive consistent and dedicated care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' physical capabilities and limitations, setting clear objectives for rehabilitation.
• Manage therapy sessions with an average of one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality interaction and focused attention.
• Utilize a variety of manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practices to facilitate pain relief and functional improvement.
• Create and implement customized care plans based on each patient's unique diagnosis and personal goals, employing diverse treatment modalities.
• Provide treatments that reduce reliance on medications and avoid invasive surgical interventions, enhancing patients' quality of life.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their recovery journey, assisting them in reaching their full physical potential.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to deliver cohesive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments provided, and progress made, maintaining accurate records for compliance and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. We emphasize personalized care plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient, ensuring that their rehabilitation experience is not only effective but also empowering. Your role will directly impact their recovery process, with the aim of restoring independence and enhancing overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy and rehabilitation techniques specific to an orthopedic setting.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably experienced with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in developing individualized fitness and wellness programs for a diverse patient demographic.

Compensation and Benefits
