Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to capture patients' unique experiences and needs in order to design personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), while adapting these interventions to reflect the cultural backgrounds of each patient.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, promoting resilience and encouraging patients to develop coping strategies for managing their mental health concerns.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, employing crisis de-escalation techniques to stabilize situations.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources, fostering an environment of informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate and secure records in line with legal requirements and ethical standards, promoting confidentiality and professionalism.

• Continuously engage in professional development activities, including participating in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Connecticut.

• Proven understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and the importance of cultural competence in therapeutic settings.

• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy that embraces inclusive, culturally responsive practices.

• Solid crisis intervention skills, paired with the ability to manage high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in common computer applications that support telehealth operations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
