Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Winchester, VA. This environment fosters collaboration among healthcare professionals and enables the delivery of multidisciplinary care. You will have direct access to support staff, advanced rehabilitation equipment, and a team of like-minded professionals who are also passionate about promoting health and recovery. The work schedule is designed for work-life balance, operating Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Calibre Ortho Care, you will:

• Develop and implement comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disability and restore muscle function.
• Conduct assessments using diagnostic tests to evaluate client capabilities and tailor interventions accordingly.
• Oversee the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to treatment plans and provide constructive guidance.
• Assist clients with individualized exercise programs, managing both manual and non-manual therapeutic activities.
• Utilize modalities such as traction and massage therapy effectively as part of the rehabilitation process.
• Evaluate and recommend adjustments to prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians as necessary.
• Document clinical evaluations, progress notes, and treatment summaries in alignment with compliance standards.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Conduct functional assessments of the home environment to recommend home modifications that promote independence.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary meetings to review and revise care plans, ensuring the best outcomes for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, and those experiencing mobility challenges due to injury or illness. Our approach emphasizes personalized care and rehabilitation strategies that address physical limitations while empowering clients to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• A minimum of one year of experience in physical therapy, preferably in acute care or home health settings.
• Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in a home health care setting is a plus, as is familiarity with patient management software and electronic health records (EHRs). An innovative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement in clinical practice are highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

Calibre Ortho Care offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
