Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical histories and performing specific assessments to determine the most effective treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings and proposed treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring that they are active participants in their care.
• Implement treatment protocols based on individual patient evaluations, continually adapting to their progress and any changes in their conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, consulting with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and reflect changes in their treatment plans.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly in line with current healthcare regulations to maintain high standards of care documentation.
• Engage in effective time management strategies to meet productivity expectations while maintaining quality care.
• Participate in hospital and community marketing initiatives to promote health and wellness awareness.
• Actively foster a positive patient experience through flexibility and an empathetic approach to care delivery.
• Contribute to departmental goals and compliance with regulations, while seeking out opportunities for professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Orthopedic Physical Therapists provide specialized care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. The team focuses on rehabilitation programs for conditions such as post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Working closely with each patient, therapists are committed to personalized care that enhances mobility and promotes quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is mandatory.
• Effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
