Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients by reviewing medical histories, performing relevant tests, and documenting findings in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Establish and communicate detailed treatment plans to patients and their families, incorporating their preferences and goals into the rehabilitation process.
• Implement personalized treatment protocols that adapt to the evolving needs of patients, demonstrating expertise in evidence-based practices.
• Monitor and document changes in patients' conditions, modifying care plans as necessary to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Engage in interdisciplinary consultations when required, fostering a team-based approach to patient care.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including baseline evaluations, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Manage time efficiently to meet productivity targets while maintaining a respectful schedule for patient appointments.
• Participate actively in community outreach initiatives and marketing programs, reinforcing Touchstone's commitment to accessible quality care.
• Continuously pursue professional development by attending relevant workshops and advanced training opportunities, and serve as a mentor for interns and students.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your work will be with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions related to musculoskeletal issues. You will work with diverse populations, including elderly individuals, athletes, and post-operative patients, tailoring your therapeutic strategies to suit their unique rehabilitation needs. Your efforts will play a significant role in not just their physical recovery but also in enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is mandatory to practice in Virginia.
• American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Preferred Experience

• While prior work experience is not mandatory, enthusiasm for the field and a eagerness to learn from experienced professionals is encouraged.
• Prior experience with home health or outpatient settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
