Work Environment

Located in vibrant Culver City, we offer a supportive and collaborative workplace where physical therapists and physical therapy assistants work closely together to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role involves working directly with patients in their homes, utilizing innovative strategies to facilitate their recovery. Our clinic operates from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, and we are committed to providing high-quality care while ensuring a balanced work-life environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring mobility, strength, and function while preventing disability.
• Designing tailored exercise programs and recommending specialized equipment as needed to support recovery goals.
• Documenting patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Providing education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
• Maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients who are experiencing various orthopedic injuries and conditions. The therapist will apply their expertise in age-related needs, ensuring that each treatment plan takes into account the individual's psychosocial factors, communication style, and educational requirements. You will tailor interventions to meet the specific needs of each age group, from effective rehabilitation strategies for younger, active individuals to gentle therapies for older adults.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid California Physical Therapist license.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, although a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and treat upper extremity and hand dysfunction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate and motivate patients.
• A strong understanding of orthopedic principles and evidence-based practice in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one-year experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with additional experience in home care or outpatient orthopedic settings will be highly valued. Familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities, manual therapy techniques, and innovative rehabilitation technologies will enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits
