Work Environment

This onsite role will involve visiting patients' homes throughout the Los Angeles area. You will engage with a diverse patient population in various settings, ensuring that each individual receives personalized care in their own environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, including thorough assessments of their medical histories and current orthopedic conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to meet specific rehabilitation goals through active patient engagement.
• Utilize various therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance recovery processes.
• Educate patients and their families on prevention strategies, proper body mechanics, and effective home exercise programs that reinforce treatment plans.
• Monitor and document patients' progress using objective measures, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate efficiently with a network of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic treatment approaches that encompass physical, emotional, and social dimensions of patient care.
• Stay informed on current research, techniques, and best practices in orthopedic physical therapy to continuously enhance service delivery.
• Participate in case reviews and team meetings to share insights and develop strategies that align with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid California Physical Therapy License (or eligibility to obtain licensure in California).
• Strong foundation in orthopedic physical therapy methods, with proficiency in hands-on techniques.
• Capability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on rehabilitation post-surgery.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings or sports rehabilitation.
• Experience with electronic health record systems for efficient patient management and progress tracking.
• Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) is highly desirable.
