Work Environment

The work setting is primarily in-home care, allowing you to provide therapy in a comfortable environment familiar to your patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to identify patient needs and create personalized treatment plans.
• Implement treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of specialized equipment to enhance recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques and activities to promote recovery and improve mobility in their daily lives.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, including changes in condition, responses to treatment interventions, and adjustments to therapy goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment delivery.
• Adhere strictly to established clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols at all times.
• Provide education about injury prevention and self-care techniques to empower patients in their recovery journey and reduce the risk of future injuries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in accordance with state and national regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Clients may also include older adults requiring mobility assistance or those looking to enhance their overall physical fitness and wellness. Your ability to connect with patients and tailor your treatment approach will be crucial in fostering their trust and cooperation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of California.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with home care experience.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to develop effective treatment plans.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing therapy in a home care setting is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $125,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications.
