Caring Physical Therapy, a leading provider of rehabilitation services in Syracuse, New York, is actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Syracuse, New York. The clinic is equipped with modern rehabilitation equipment and technology, fostering an efficient workflow for our therapists. Our facility features dedicated spaces for various rehabilitation modalities, ensuring that all necessary resources are readily available for effective treatment. The full-time schedule currently runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical condition to determine appropriate treatment strategies that focus on improving mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize therapeutic exercises, modalities, and activities customized to meet each patient's goals.
• Instruct and guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities, ensuring proper techniques are utilized to facilitate effective rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and their families on body mechanics, the importance of exercise techniques, and home exercise programs to promote continued recovery.
• Administer modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy, in accordance with the treatment plans established.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functional abilities, contributing to ongoing patient care discussions.
• Prepare treatment areas by organizing equipment and ensuring supplies are stocked to facilitate smooth therapy sessions.
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team, actively engaging with other healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
• Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards, ensuring confidentiality and respect for patient rights at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Caring Physical Therapy, you will work with a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and age-related physical challenges. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.

Preferred Experience
