High Point Family and Marriage Counseling is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time, remote role serving students across various schools in Evanston, Illinois. As an LCSW, you will play a critical role in providing counseling services to individuals and families, focusing particularly on those dealing with substance use and co-occurring disorders. This position offers flexibility as it is remote, allowing you to work from your home while servicing school-aged children. Key Responsibilities\n

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of students’ counseling needs, taking into consideration their emotional, psychological, and social well-being.
\n
• Utilizing the DSM diagnostic criteria to assess for substance abuse and mental health issues and determining the appropriate levels of care based on ASAM criteria.
\n
• Developing individualized treatment plans that address substance abuse issues, involving clients and their families in the planning process.
\n
• Formulating discharge and continuing care plans to facilitate a seamless transition to lower levels of care when clinically appropriate.
\n
• Documenting all client interactions, including counseling sessions, assessments, and follow-ups in our clinical record system to maintain compliance and quality of care.
\n
• Managing a caseload of clients, conducting regular check-ins and updates to chart progress and treatment modifications as necessary.
\n
• Coordinating efforts with external agencies and referral sources, such as schools and community organizations, to ensure proper support systems are in place.
\n
• Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to address crisis situations effectively and provide timely intervention when required.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse population of students facing a variety of challenges, including those dealing with substance use disorders, mental health issues, and family dynamics. Your compassionate and comprehensive approach will serve to foster resilience and empower these young individuals to navigate their personal and social challenges successfully.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A valid LCSW license in the state of Illinois.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
\n
• Strong professionalism alongside a commitment to maintaining therapeutic boundaries and cultural competence.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficiency in case management practices and clinical documentation standards.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in the following areas will be given preference:

• Co-occurring disorders counseling and substance use treatment.

• Experience working within school settings or with school-aged youth.

• Knowledge of the ASAM criteria and experience with treatment planning.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Compensation and Benefits\n
