Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical condition and developing tailored treatment programs.
• Implement therapies and exercises in alignment with best practices in areas such as orthopedic rehabilitation, sports medicine, and neurologic care.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and create an encouraging environment that enhances the patient experience.
• Collaborate with a specialized team, utilizing evidence-based treatment protocols to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide home-based therapy when necessary, applying relevant techniques to improve patients' functional abilities as specified by their treatment plan.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about the recovery process, promoting active participation in their rehabilitation.
• Ensure adherence to minimum utilization goals and support organizational objectives through effective teamwork and communication.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Valleywise, you will encounter a diverse range of patients, including but not limited to those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, individuals with neurological disorders, and children requiring specialized therapy. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) as mandated by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a practicing physical therapist.
• Current CPR certification and proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
• Proficient computer skills, with the ability to utilize electronic health records and documentation software.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient setting is preferred, especially with a focus on sports medicine, pediatrics, or orthopedic cases.
• Proven track record of demonstrating empathy and building strong patient relationships to assist them in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Compensation and Benefits
