Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Lifesaver Mental and Behavioral Center, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based psychotherapeutic treatment to individuals, couples, families, and groups, modifying techniques as needed to suit diverse populations.

• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
\n
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical evaluations thoroughly to maintain accurate medical records in line with mandated policies.

• Serve as a consultant to multidisciplinary teams, contributing insights on mental health trends and treatment strategies.

• Advocate for clients, helping them navigate community resources and ensure they receive necessary social services.

• Participate in supervision and training opportunities to maintain clinical competency and enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving adult and geriatric populations, with a possibility of expanding into child and adolescent therapy in the future. You will engage with clients facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and other mental health disorders. Your role will be instrumental in fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment that encourages healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• A thorough understanding of clinical and theoretical models relevant to mental health treatment.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and establish effective therapeutic alliances.

• Proficient writing skills for documenting clinical notes and summaries of evaluations clearly and accurately.

• Knowledge of ethical practices in social work and mental health treatment.

• Strong evaluation skills, including conducting mental status exams and recognizing changes in a client’s mental condition.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships with colleagues and support staff.

• Familiarity with community resources and services available for clients in need of additional support.

• Advocacy skills to coordinate care effectively with existing providers and community resources.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the ideal candidate would have prior experience working in a community health setting and familiarity with teletherapy practices. Compensation and Benefits\n
