Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing you to provide care to our patients from the comfort and safety of your own space. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of mental health professionals dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our community, with a flexible Monday to Friday work schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. While the primary hours are set, some flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of your patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments, ensuring that you understand each patient’s unique circumstances and needs.

• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans and therapeutic interventions tailored specifically to the individual backgrounds of patients.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address various mental health challenges, promoting resilience, personal growth, and recovery.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and effective treatment for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, using your training and judgment to ensure safety and support.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, their treatment options, and the resources available within the community.

• Maintain up-to-date, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines to track patient progress and interventions.

• Actively participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training to enhance the care provided.

• Stay informed about recent research and developments in mental health treatment to incorporate best practices into your therapeutic methods.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving a richly diverse patient population, including individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, those identifying as LGBTQ+, and immigrants facing unique cultural challenges. This role requires sensitivity and awareness of the varying experiences and struggles faced by these clients, allowing you to deliver inclusive and relevant mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license to practice as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A strong foundation in understanding mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly those that are culturally relevant.

• Demonstrated experience in providing both individual and group therapy, utilizing inclusive and culturally responsive strategies.
\n
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, with a proven ability to engage calmly and effectively during challenging situations.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing rapport with a diverse clientele.
\n
• Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to document patient interactions and outcomes.

• Dedication to ethical practices, maintaining confidentiality, and respecting professional boundaries in all interactions.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and therapeutic outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a community health setting or a similar culturally diverse environment.

• Specific training or certifications related to trauma-informed care, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other relevant therapeutic approaches.

• Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by marginalized populations, including high levels of empathy and advocacy skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this full-time position is between USD 70,000 and 100,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
