Role Description The Development Officer is a part-time, hybrid role located in Madison, WI, responsible for advancing the Institute’s philanthropic and fundraising efforts. The Development Officer is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and executing fundraising initiatives and programs to help achieve AIHP’s mission and goals. This position plays a significant role in the implementation of AIHP capital campaign, including donor cultivation, prospect research, stewardship, campaign administration, volunteer support, and fundraising communications. Working closely with the Operations Manager, Campaign Committee, Campaign Advisory Council, and the AIHP Executive Director, the Development Officer & Campaign Coordinator helps ensure campaign goals are met through effective relationship management, data tracking, donor engagement, and organizational support.

• Candidates should possess skills in Fundraising and Annual Giving to plan, implement, and evaluate donor campaigns.

• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to write, present, and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Candidates should possess an understanding of Philanthropy to build donor relationships and support a culture of giving.
\n
• Candidates should possess Research skills to identify, assess, and prioritize prospective donors and funding opportunities.

• Relevant qualifications include experience in nonprofit development or advancement, preferably in cultural, educational, or health-related organizations.

• Additional beneficial qualifications include proficiency with donor management or CRM systems, strong organizational and project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site.

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as communications, nonprofit management, history, or business) or equivalent experience is preferred.
