Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments to collect information on patients' backgrounds and experiences, which will guide the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing techniques that are adaptable to meet the unique cultural needs of our diverse clientele.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address mental health issues, enhance coping strategies, and cultivate a sense of community among patients.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensuring holistic support that addresses physical and mental health needs.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, offering immediate support and guidance to patients facing mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, guiding them through treatment options and connecting them with community resources for additional support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, using practice management software to log patient information securely.

• Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings, along with cultural competency training sessions, to enhance personal and organizational knowledge regarding best practices.

• Stay up-to-date on current mental health research and trends, effectively integrating new insights into patient care strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field is required.

• Valid and active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Kansas is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
