Work Environment

This role is located onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Fort Myers, which is designed to create a welcoming atmosphere for both patients and staff. The facility is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technologies and tools that allow you to provide innovative treatments. You will work within a supportive team of professionals, where weekly scheduled hours are set at 40, with variable weekends to accommodate patient needs. Your contributions will directly impact patient recovery journeys and the overall effectiveness of our care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans addressing their specific functional limitations and disabilities.
• Provide expert consultation to interdisciplinary healthcare teams regarding patients' treatment needs and continuity of care.
• Implement and adjust treatment strategies based on continuous evaluation of patients' progress and feedback, ensuring adherence to all professional standards and legal regulations.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress, submitting accurate charges for services rendered.
• Lead and participate in community outreach initiatives, quality improvement projects, and marketing activities to promote rehabilitation services.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), aides, and interns, fostering an environment of learning and teamwork.
• Engage with patients and their families, providing education about their treatment plans and resources for ongoing wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with diverse adult patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Your ability to interact compassionately with individuals from various cultural and age backgrounds is crucial as you guide them through the rehabilitation process. Focusing on evidence-based practices, your role will ensure each patient receives personalized care that aligns with their unique needs and goals.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• A current State License in Physical Therapy, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records and documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy is required, with a preference for candidates who have experience in a rehabilitation setting. Familiarity with advanced therapeutic techniques and a proven ability to work within a collaborative team environment will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
