Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to accurately assess patients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Provide individual and family therapy sessions utilizing various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems approaches.

• Engage in monthly clinical case reviews with the Lead Psychologist, contributing to collaborative discussions to enhance patient care strategies.
\n
• Create and maintain comprehensive patient assessments that inform ongoing treatment planning and aftercare coordination.
\n
• Facilitate effective discharge planning, ensuring patients receive the necessary support and resources to continue their recovery journey post-therapy.
\n
• Exhibit a commitment to active listening and strong empathy, ensuring each patient feels heard and valued during sessions.
\n
• Adapt your therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs and preferences of each patient, fostering long-term therapeutic relationships.

• Stay diligently involved in ongoing staff meetings and training opportunities to remain current in best practices and innovative approaches in mental health counseling.

• Willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned to adapt to the evolving needs of our patient population and organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse array of clients, primarily individuals and families dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our patient population reflects the vibrant community of Oakland, California, and as such, your insights into the unique cultural, economic, and social factors that influence mental health will be crucial in providing effective care.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
\n
• Demonstrated experience in conducting high-quality mental health assessments and developing evidence-based treatment plans.
\n
• Proven track record of delivering compassionate, patient-centered therapy in both individual and family settings.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

Compensation and Benefits\n
