Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and emotional well-being, utilizing standardized tools and clinical judgment.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, family counseling, and group therapy sessions, while utilizing therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Regularly monitor and assess clients' progress, adjusting treatment strategies and interventions as necessary to facilitate optimal outcomes.

• Offer crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute emotional distress, ensuring timely and effective care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment interventions, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance treatment continuity and provide holistic care to clients.

• Engage in continuous professional development activities, including participating in supervision, training, and staying current with best practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Freedom Trail Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals of various ages and backgrounds facing a range of mental health challenges. Our clients may present with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and substance use disorders. You will be tasked with creating safe spaces where clients feel heard and understood, enabling them to express their concerns and work through their challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW) in the state of Washington.

• Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a strong understanding of various therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic approach toward client interactions.

• Ability to work independently, while also being an integral part of a collaborative team.

• Familiarity with ethical guidelines and laws governing mental health practice.

• A commitment to ongoing professional learning and improvement.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of experience providing direct mental health counseling to clients, especially in a community health setting.

• Proficiency with telehealth technology and electronic health record systems.

Compensation and Benefits\n
