Work Environment\n

This role operates in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a reliable connection with our patients and a supportive team environment. While the majority of work can be done from home, active participation in virtual consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions is vital to our collaborative approach. Our work week is structured from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some potential adjustments based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to identify client needs and formulate tailored treatment plans.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to support individual, couple, and family therapy sessions.

• Facilitating psychoeducational and support groups to foster community and address prevalent mental health issues.

• Collaborating effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention services to support clients during mental health emergencies.

• Educating patients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.

• Proven experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing effective, individualized treatment plans.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver individual and group therapy to a diverse population.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with sound judgment and a commitment to professional ethics and boundaries.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in an outpatient mental health setting, particularly with patients facing complex issues or those requiring multiple levels of support, will be considered a significant advantage. Familiarity with additional therapeutic modalities or specialized populations is also desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
