Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time (Home Care Setting)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at The Joint Physical Therapy in Ashburn, Virginia. Work Environment

This position is primarily home-based, allowing you to treat patients in their residences, which fosters a unique relationship and understanding of their daily challenges. Working Monday through Friday, you will engage in a 40-hour work week that can be tailored to support both patient needs and your professional life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, utilizing both objective and subjective assessment techniques to design personalized treatment plans.
• Implement and adjust individualized therapeutic programs, ensuring alignment with evolving patient needs and physician treatment goals.
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and neuromuscular re-education, to facilitate patient recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with regulatory and insurance requirements, demonstrating the effectiveness of care.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, which may include physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment protocols, equipment use, and self-management strategies to enhance their health and mobility.
• Meet established utilization goals and engage in continuous quality improvement practices to boost operation efficiency within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The orthopedic physical therapist will focus primarily on patients recovering from musculoskeletal conditions, surgical interventions, and sports injuries. This demographic may include a wide age range, from pediatric patients with developmental issues to older adults recovering from joint replacements. You will utilize evidence-based practices to tailor treatments to diverse patient needs, improving their mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program is required.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association are mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, ensuring understanding between you, patients, and healthcare team members.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records and word processing software.
• A passion for building rapport with patients and a genuine desire to support them in achieving their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting or home health environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment techniques for orthopedic and sports injuries is preferred.
• Experience working collaboratively in a patient-centered care model is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience. Along with this, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:
