Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to gauge the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing screening tools to inform clinical decisions.

• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that incorporate their specific needs, preferences, and goals, fostering a therapeutic alliance essential for successful outcomes.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for mood disorders, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while monitoring client responses to treatment.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Track clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting strategies as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes and goal attainment.

• Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, holistic care ensuring all aspects of a client’s health are addressed.

• Stay informed of the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance service delivery and therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies, contributing to a learning environment designed to elevate best practices in mental health treatment.

• Advocate for clients by promoting destigmatization of mood disorders and representing their mental health needs with empathy and professionalism.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client demographic within the Detox Center, primarily focusing on individuals facing mood disorders. Clients may present with complex emotional and psychological challenges, requiring a compassionate approach tailored to their unique backgrounds and circumstances. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities specifically for mood disorders (CBT, DBT).

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology, enabling effective communication and collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

• Documented success in delivering therapeutic outcomes in treating mood disorders, supported by client success stories or quantitative metrics.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least three years of clinical experience in mental health settings, particularly focused on mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers an attractive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
