Build Your Accounting Career We're looking for a Staff Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their accounting career. If you have 2-5 years of accounting experience and are looking for an opportunity to expand your knowledge beyond the day-to-day, work alongside experienced leaders, and make a meaningful impact on a growing organization, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for. In this role, you'll work directly with our Controller and CFO, gaining valuable exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic business operations while continuing to develop your accounting career. What You'll Do Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll support the financial operations of our growing organization while gaining experience across the full accounting cycle. Your responsibilities will include: Prepare month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Record and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, bank transactions, and company credit card activity. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Assist the Controller and CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Support year-end close activities, external audits, and tax reporting. Help ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable federal and state regulations. Assist with tax filings, regulatory reporting, and other accounting administration activities. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and leverage technology to increase efficiency. Collaborate with departments across the organization to provide accurate and timely financial information. Perform other duties as assigned. Is motivated to learn, grow, and continuously improve. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 2-5 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience with Acumatica is a plus. CPA certification or Master's degree is a plus. Ability to work on-site in our Caseyville, Illinois office.
