Claims & Insurance Administrative Clerk
We are currently looking for a Clerk to assist with data entry and other duties. The position is onsite in San Jose, CA. Key tasks: Claims:
- Liaison between our districts who report the claims, and our outside claims adjuster
- Reviewing new claims for completeness and forwarding them to the adjuster
- Labeling and saving claims per protocol
- Escalating claims as necessary
- Monitoring claims through the process to keep them moving forward
- Processing vehicle accident notifications and the associated tracking
- Invoicing associated with Third Party Adjuster (TPA)
Insurance:
- Completing forms for Certificate of Insurance requests
- Applying for Bonds
- Keeping records up to date and organized for the above
Responsibilities:
Data enter and process new general liability (GL) claims Data enter and process new automobile claims Handling status inquiries for the above Ensuring complete and correct data is being transmitted to insurer or third party administrator (TPA) Generating Certificates of Insurance (COI's) Generating Bond applications Updating the Risk Management intranet home page Maintaining the Risk Management dashboard on SmartSheet Handling regular invoices (primarily for TPA Carl Warren & Co and Client for Bonds), following LOA approval requirements Backing up during absences for company travel and personal time off
Qualifications:
Must have attention to detail. Requires critical thinking since claims processing is a subjective and investigative process. Experienced with extensive knowledge of claims and insurance.
