Adventist Physical Health Rehabilitation is actively seeking a highly motivated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice in Reston, Virginia. In this pivotal role, you will assist patients on their journey to regain motion and enhance their functional capabilities. Your contributions will empower individuals to reach their physical potential through a comprehensive approach encompassing promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation.

Our team consists of experienced professionals dedicated to delivering personalized physical therapy tailored to meet the diverse needs of our patients. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our dedicated rehabilitation facility in Reston, VA. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team comprising two other licensed physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a balanced professional and personal life while ensuring consistent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs to develop and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving their health and wellness goals.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, delivering focused care that meets each patient's unique requirements.
• Utilize prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care to provide effective and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Deliver cost-effective treatment options designed to enhance patients' mobility while reducing dependence on medications.
• Minimize reliance on surgical interventions by exploring and advising on non-surgical alternatives whenever feasible.
• Construct personalized fitness and wellness programs to cater to specific patient conditions and recovery goals.
• Encourage and motivate patients to engage actively in their rehabilitation process, optimizing their functional abilities.
• Enhance patients' overall health by promoting lifestyle changes that improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient evaluations and aligned treatment strategies.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effects, monitor patient progress, and maintain clear communication regarding their rehabilitation journey.
• Accurately document service delivery and patient care interventions to ensure compliance and facilitate continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient base includes individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic concerns, often related to sports injuries, surgical recovery, or chronic pain management. With a strong emphasis on proper assessment and individualized treatment, our practice is designed to empower each patient, ensuring they understand and engage in their recovery process.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with no pending disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of evidence-based therapeutic exercise programs.
• Experience utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT for efficient patient documentation and data management.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to foster positive relationships with patients and a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working specifically within an orthopedic outpatient practice setting is highly desirable.
• A solid track record of driving patient outcomes through innovative therapy techniques and personalized care is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
