Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting children and their families.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing appropriate social work interventions tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary health care team, including educators and mental health professionals, to integrate care and ensure the support of the patient and family in the treatment process.

• Facilitate discharge planning processes for patients, coordinating with consultants, third-party payers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective transitions and continuity of care.

• Provide educational sessions and counseling to students and families, addressing adaptation strategies related to mental health challenges.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary, offering immediate support through both individual and group therapy.
\n
• Support the professional development of colleagues by sharing expertise and providing educational resources on psychosocial issues relevant to childhood and adolescent populations.

• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to after-hours needs and emergencies as they arise.
\n
• Engage in continuous professional development activities, staying informed on best practices and emerging trends in social work and mental health therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on school-aged children and adolescents who require mental and emotional support. You will work with students facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, social adjustment issues, and other mental health concerns, ensuring that their unique needs are met with empathy and expert care.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Proficiency in conducting psychosocial assessments and developing treatment plans.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
