Assistant Professors-in-Residence in Organizational and Professional Communication, Communication Studies [R0150518] Overview The University of Nevada – Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for two 9‑month Assistant Professors‑in‑Residence in the area of Organizational and Professional Communication, starting Fall 2026. The position involves developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the traditional and online degree programs. Responsibilities Teach courses in Organizational and Professional Communication, with emphasis on workforce development, career readiness and experiential learning. Provide secondary expertise in Interpersonal/Family or Mediated Communication as desired. Teach interdisciplinary or college‑wide courses; support the two required courses for all majors in the College of Urban Affairs. Participate in academic, professional, and community service activities. Support the launch of five workforce readiness micro‑credentials and the redevelopment of the M.A. program as an online, professional‑oriented degree. Qualifications Ph.D. in Communication or a related field from an accredited institution. Experience teaching courses in Organizational and Professional Communication. Preferred: experience teaching experiential, community‑based, or interdisciplinary courses.
