Description - What You'll Do Carry out standard and specialized laboratory tests—such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more—while following set protocols. Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments. Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as required. Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new hires or students, and contribute to maintaining laboratory quality standards. Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to regulatory and accreditation requirements. Education Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment. Maintain current certification during your tenure. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
